Heyheyhey ;)!
How are you? I'm actually pretty good, allthough my left ear hurts. I'll tell you later why.
The weather the last days was reasonably good. Well, actually it was more often rainy than not, but everytime I needed sun it was sunny, soo...yeah.
Let me start by telling you about Thursday ;).
Thursday:
Thursday...uhm...school wasn't very special. There were the Board-of-Trusties-speeches. The BOT is someone who represents the pupils. The speeches were quite funny, some of them better than others. A few friends of mine apllied for it, they were all not too bad.
After school I talked to Rachel for a while and when I wanted to get home I realised that I forgot my key at home :S. So I walked to Heather's and Jim's working place and got myself a key from Heather.
Yeah, and basically I went home then xD. You see, not that exciting.
You know what was more exciting? Right. The next day.
Friday:
Friday was pretty cool. Before the first lesson we had to vote for the BOT. A guy from Asia became the BOT, probably becasue 50% of our pupils are Asian xD. At school we played table-tennis during PE, it was good.
At the last period I was supposed to have German, but they changed room. And to be honest...I didn't listen when the teacher said to what room we would change when he told us on Thursday. So I tried to find my class and texted Sara to ask where they are, but I didn't find out. So I talked to some other pupils who were free and couldn't attend the last lesson.
After school it started to rain. On my way to the bus stop I met Rachel, so I offered her to come under my umbrella. Well, you'll never guess how gentleman-like I was after that: I wanted to go to Alex's place after school to talk to him about streetbuksing, so I left my umbrella with Rachel and walked through the rain (OK. It was only 30 meters or something like that to Alex's place :D ).
I talked to Alex for a while and we also talked about double-acts, because our Dean asked us to do a double-magic-act next Friday. I'm not sure if that's gotta happen, because it's hard to set up something like that.
Then I strolled a bit through the city and took the bus home.
At night I skyped with two friends and tested skype out, because tomorrow I'll skyope with a whole group of friends which will be at a birthdayparty =D.
Saturday:
Today was a nice day.
In the morning Jim took me to show me where the Frankton Markets are. They're kind of ... yeah, markets xD. But very big. Probably Alex and I will try to hire a place there one day and do some magic there.
Then we went to a book fair for a short time, sponsored by the red cross. Was ok, but not exciting.
At 11 Jim dropped me off at Casabella Lane. I walked into 'The Barber's Hut' and waited a bit for Alex. When he arrived, we had a quick look around the city and then set up our streetmagic-table. We started playing some famous 'Streetscams' with the people and did some magic. Casabella Lane was quite busy and we had some good audiences. We gained a bit of money and it was really fun, we'll do it again on next Saturday I suppose.
Colin Sanderson, our Youth-Exchange-manager, came to see us. Justin came as well, but he was too late and didn't see us anymore.
Alex and I also tried to find another spot to set up our table, but where we planned to do so, some company selling weights and fitness tools had set up their stuff. We had a quick talk to one of them and did some magic, that was cool.
When I went home I quickly changed my clothes into old clothes, because at 3:15 Isaac picked me up for Paintball. I met Karsten zeg Waard, a guy from the Netherlands. We talked a bit in dutch untill we decided that we should speak english, so that Isaac could understand us.
Paintball was reall cool. The fired balls would go about 60 meters, and allthough it was good fun I can now say that it hurts to get a paintball shot at your ear from 30 meters ;D. So it was more a 'Pain(t)ball" (yeah, I love bad word-jokes :D ) and it was very 'pain(t)full'. Haha.
However, I was in the loosing team. Actually all the youths were in one team, but I realised that to late and couldn't change sides anymore xD.
So all in all it was a pretty good day. I'll upload photos as soon as I can, but at the moment the laptop doesn't read my card.
I think that's it...keep on reading ;)!
See ya!
Yours,
Timon.
P.S.: When I went out for a walk yesterday night there was one place which was really cool...for a few meters there were heeeaaaps of snails, and I kinda like snails so I took lots of photos :D. Yeah. See ya :D!
