Hey mates!

How's it going?
I'm very well. The weather is getting really good over here and I'm a bit sunburned because I couldn't be bothered putting sunscreen on ;D.
Someone tell me how the weather's at home, please!

I'd say we get right into the summary, starting with last weekend.

Oh by the way, I just realised that I have a restricted number of letters to write here, I never saw that before.... 20058 letters left.

So, last weekend. On Saturday I moved to my new host-family. I started the morning with cleaning my room at the Galt's house, it took me about 4 hours :D. When I had packed my things Jim and Heather brought me over to the Weal's House. Janet and Bryce Weal are my new host-parents, Campbell Weal is my host-brother, he's 20. They are all really nice and I already get along quite good with them.

2 hours after I settled in at my new host-house a friend of mine, Ben, came along to pick me up for a weekend up the Coromandel. The Coromandel is a small part of the North Island that kinda sticks out at the top: a peninsula.
So we went up there with Rhys, another friend of mine (I know both of them through Jim and Heather's church). On our way we also picked up Liam.
On Sunday we pitched our tent at a camping place and met some other people there. After our tent was set we immediatly put on our wet-suits, took our hunting weapons, hopped into the boat and drove out to some small islands where we jumped (with snorkel, diving mask and hunting weapon) out of the boat. Obviously we were up to go speer-fishing. I had a speer with a rubber-band at it's end to do so, Rhys and Ben used speer-guns.

Going speer-fishing was a whole new experience for me, I never did something like hunting before and I never really went diving without a tank. But it was heaps of fun!
We saw lots of sea-weed and colourful big fish, I met 4 stingrays. They're huge and it's quite scary when you're diving to get two fish around a rock and suddenly a 2 meter stingray appears :D but they are beautiful to watch. We ate that spiky stuff that's sitting on the rocks, collected mussles and I even shot 3 fish but they were all a kind of fish that doesn't taste good so we had to throw them over board.
I learned that fish have eyes and ears as well, so they swim away as
soon as you start hunting them :P.

I arrived back home on Monday night, totally tired.

On Tuesday I went to school and after school I went into town to have another talk to that guy from the Irish Pub. Next Thursday will be the first time for me to perform there a whole evening, so it will be the first magic night. If all goes well we'll set the magic night up every month.

Wednesday I just went dancing, as usually.

Thursday I went dancing as well. Alex also organised for us to perform at the last whole school assembly next Wednesday, we'll see if we can set up something special for that. I have something in mind but it might take too long to practice.

Yesterday a parcel from my parents finally arrived, it had been on it's way for more than one month I guess, we were afraid it was lost. A friend of my mum from the dutch Rotary club also travelled through Hamilton and gave Heather a small parcel from mum for me, unfortunately I couldn't meet him.

Today I wanted to go busking with Alex at the Frankton Markets but Alex didn't turn up because something with the bus went wrong or something like that.
Well, while I was waiting at the markets several people tried to convince me to follow their religion and change my life-style and so one. Fortunately I met a friend from school there so I talked to him for about an hour.

When I went home I prepared my things for another performance I had today, it was at a 5000-spectators Halloween event and it went really well. They took some photos, I hope I can get them somehow.

Tonight I just practised saxophone and worked on some things. Tomorrow will be a concert we play at with the school jazz band and I gotta play a solo, so I practised for that.

I'd say that's it pretty much for today. Have a good weekend and next week ;)!

See you!

Yours,

Timon.
